Who we are

SPACE. Building Design & Drafting is a building design studio based in Brisbane. This policy covers this website and the enquiries you send through it.

What we collect

When you contact us, we only collect what you type into our forms. The Start Your Project enquiry and the contact form ask for your name, your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it, along with details about your project — the kind of work, the project address, your budget range, your timing and anything else you tell us. If you attach files — plans, sketches or site photographs — we receive those too. We also use analytics and advertising tools, explained below.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this website.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to work out whether we are the right studio for your project, and — if you go ahead with us — to design and document your project through to building approval. We also keep enquiries so we have a record of what was discussed.

How your enquiry reaches us

Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery service. Your enquiry passes through their systems in order to reach our inbox. We use them only to send and deliver email. Your enquiry is then stored in our email system, which is provided by Google Workspace.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used — which pages people visit, how they arrived, which devices they use, how far through the Start Your Project form people get, and when an enquiry is sent from either form. For both forms we record only which step was reached or that the form was sent, never anything you have typed or selected. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We use it to improve the website, not to identify you personally.

We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta when someone visits a page on this website or sends us an enquiry, so we can measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work and show them to people likely to be interested. It does not send Meta your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into our forms. Meta may combine this with information it already holds, for example if you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, and uses cookies to do so. You can control the ads you see through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

Like any service a website uses, both Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel also receive your IP address and basic information about your browser. Both start when a page loads.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time. The website works normally without them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. The only parties who handle it are the services that make the website, our email and our advertising work: Vercel, which hosts this website and processes basic technical information such as your IP address when you visit; Resend; Google Workspace; Google Analytics; and Meta, which receives the website activity described above, not the contents of your enquiry. If your project goes ahead, we may need to share relevant project details with consultants such as engineers or a certifier, and we will tell you when that applies.

Where it’s stored

Some of these services store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers with appropriate security measures in place.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and project correspondence for as long as we need them for the project and our business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email studio@spacebd.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not happy with how we have handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date below.
